Getting Started

Guides for authoring, running and analysing tests across web automation, API and performance — plus setup, collaboration and release notes.

Connect Local Agent

Establish a stable local execution channel between Bitassert and your machine for local-agent-enabled workflows, so supported run and runtime communication flows can execute and return live status/results reliably.

Local Agent execution

Local Agent runs execute on your machine and stream live step status, logs, and responses back to the Bitassert UI while the run is in progress. Use them during authoring and debugging — checking locators, validating a Web flow, sending individual API steps, or confirming test data before a formal run. When the run ends, outcomes are Not saved to the platform: no Test Results entry, no run tag, and no history you can reopen later. Only cloud executions are stored in Test Results for future reference.

Note:

  • Local Agent runs are for trial and check purposes during development. Results are not saved or stored in the platform — you see outcomes live in the editor only.
  • Only cloud executions are saved in Test Results for future reference. Use Cloud when you need recorded run history, tags, release tracking, or shared outcomes.

Agent Setup

  1. Install and start Local Agent on execution machine.
  2. Ensure machine/network connectivity allows local agent communication.
  3. Verify agent availability from Bitassert execution flow.
  4. If disconnected, restart/reconnect and re-verify status.

Expected outcome

After successful Local Agent connection, local-agent-dependent execution workflows become available and runs can be started, monitored, and completed with reliable live status and result updates.
